I'm stuck in limbo until i call allen bradford (game: Art of Murder, FBI Confidential) ?

i'm playing art of murder FBI confidential...i got allen bradford's business card into inventory...the walkthrough says the number automatically goes to PDA......but no matter what i do--it's not showing up in there and i can't continue until i make that phone call made. please help??
