What should I do to make my best friend feel better?

That's a sad story. The only thing I can say that could help is do anything to show her you are there for her. Maybe you could try going to the hospital to be with her and her family. I'm sure if you guys have been best friends for seven years, comforting her should be no problem. Good luck.
