Why does the Bible say that not everything is in the Bible?

Because just as it says there is too much to be contained in one book. Jesus relied on Peter, as the head of the Church, to p on other things through tradition of the Church. So, imo I think that Jesus wanted us to comply with these traditions and His Word combined.
