How can I get in touch with my father's former naval shipmates on the USS Ommany Bay CVE-79?

My father Virgil Ellis served on this escort carrier as a radioman when it was hit and sunk by a kamikaze on January 4th, 1945 He was rescued from the water by the Tahoma Bay (I think)
